In the early spring of 2022 I returned to In Cahoots Residency to spend two weeks monoprinting. I had ambitious goals, hoping to incorporate color and print full sheets of paper, aided by a custom lightbox I spent several weeks building beforehand. The work I created was much more introspective, frustrated, and complex than I could possibly anticipate. I found myself mapping a history of family, relationships, trauma, gender disorientation, bittersweetness, and existential uncertainty.
